Our pilots are professionals with ample command experience and a strong aviation background. In addition to exceeding the Federal Aviation Administration's pilot requirements, each pilot undergoes rigorous initial and recurrent training with Backcountry. Our Chief Pilot, Noel McDermott, is an FAA-authorized check pilot with over 8200 hours of flying experience. He has been flying since 2006 and is entering his fifth year with Backcountry Aviation.
